More information about specific requirements for disposal in your area can be found at\u00a0Idaho Department for Health and Welfare\u00a0and the Idaho\u00a0Department of Environmental Quality In addition to the state medical waste environmental regulations there are some Occupational Safety and Health Administration rules that apply to medical\/infectious waste. Idaho is one of 26 states covered entirely by the federal OSHA program.
